017.10 Rather more than 1/2 a mile from Old Hatterburnhead and little more than 1/4 mile from the boundary between England and Scotland near a wall which divides the parishes of Yetholm and Morebattle is firmly fixed in the Ground a Stone which is said to mark the Grave of a Piper, who is said to have perished in the snow and was buried here in accordance with an old custom where two Lairds' lands join.
