The rest comprises tradesmen, Cottiers, and Feuars or small Farmers who have houses in very long leases and rent a portion of land from the ower [owner] of the soil. A large wool and Lamb fair is held here in the month of July annually. The entire Village is the property of Andrew Wauchope Esqr of Niddrie.
YETHOLM HAUGH	Yetholm Haugh	Revd [Reverend] John Baird Mr Henderson Mr George Kerr	016.04	A tract of land extending from the junction of "The Stank" with Bowmont Water along the banks of the latter in a westerly direction for about a mile. It is composed of Rough pasture interspersed with Furze, and is let as common to the Feuars of Yetholm who pasture Cattle thereon, at a stated price per head annually. it is the property of A Wauchope Esqr, of Niddrie.
