010.14 A modern built house two stories high surrounded on North and North West by a vegetable and fruit garden, on the South and East by a small ornamental plantation, with excellent, office houses and Thrashing machine with steam power, also an arable farm attached situate about one fourth of a mile east from Sprouston, it is supposed to have derived its name from a field called Whitmuirhaugh adjoining Sprouston Glebe, rented and occupied by James Lindsay proprietor James Innes Ker DuKe of Roxburgh.
