008.06 This stone marKs the spot where the Trysting Tree stood, so much frequented by the celebrated Thomas the Rhymer and the Queen of the Fairies.
It is stated that Thomas the Rhymer was visited by a White Deer when required by the Queen, and immediately that the Deer was seen by him, he hastened to the Tree to Receive instructions.
