This edefice was long suffered to continue in a very wretched state. Before 1792, it was thatched with broom, & its interior was not unsuitable to its outward appearance. In 1812, it was modernised and thoroughly repaired; it is seated to hold about 150 persons. "The Manse" was built about 52 years ago, and is not unsuitable to the living, which is 14 chalders, half meal, half barley, with a small sum for vicarage tithes & Communion Elements.
