It had a considerable Village at one time, and forming a district parish having a Church &c. of its own, but having been Suffered to go to ruin the parish was United to Maxton. No trace of Either the Village or Church &c. now remains. Proprietor Sir Edward Antrobus Bart. [Baronet]
