Parish of Hobkirk
Sheet 26 No 15 Trace 1

Before the erection of this edifice a Catholic Chaple occupied the Same Site, which Chaple is supposed to have existed prior to the reformation a portion of the old wall forms part of the east gable of the present fabric. The "Presbytery Records" Show that this Church was thatched in heather in the year 1726 and was repaired in 1777 and again in 1840. At the present time this Church is in a very bad state of repair.
