033.13 [Situation] On the West Windburgh Hill
An old established name given to a small sheet of water situated near the Summit of Windburgh Hill. Leyden the Poet makes mention of this Loch as being the abode of Fairies &c - this name i.e. "Fairy Loch" is well known in the district. There are several traditionary stories connected with this Loch - but there is no truth in them.
