015 This river flows for about 2 miles through the centre of the parish, from where it first enters it at Whittleinch ford, near Mounteviot House, the boundary crosses northwards of it at Nesbitmill Caul, and again crosses Southwards between the Jedburgh Railway bridge and Hutches Pool; from thence, the river flows east dividing Nesbit and Crailing to where it enters Eckford Parish, below Crailing Tofts farm. It is of considerable breadth and comprising many good fishing pools and streams, and much resorted to by Anglers.
