Elliot, Wr [Wester] Essenside Mr William Hogg, Burnfoot Mr Scott, Castleside 018.08 Situated west from Wr [ Wester] Essenside, and of oblong form, it apparently had been a very perfect one of its kind, and had three ramparts surrounding it and a fourth or inner one on the west, it is supposed to be of either British or Danish origin.
