I forward to you a Printed
Form containing a List of Authorities
for the spelling of the name of Your
Parish, and as a doubt arises whether
it should be written Resolis (being a
modern name) or Kirkmichael and
Cullicudden, (being the ancient name)
Will you have the goodness to write in
the second column of the Printed Form
the proper and legal name which you
would recommend to be written on
the Ordnance Plans.
You will much oblige by stating
the cause of changing the Ancient
