027 | A large hill to the west of the parish. Supposed to derive its name from "Struidh" (wasting or unproductive) which is just the character of the soil. it is upwards of 1000 feet high. It is easily accessible from the public road & is frequently ascended for a view, & from a pinnacle on the top called the "Ladies' Seat" considerable portions of nine counties are within the range of an ordinary telescope The property of Sir Charles W.
