078; 079 This name applies to a small stream which has its source west of Bannan's Farm; it forms the boundary between the parish and County of Cromarty and the parish of Rosemarkie in the County of Ross for more than half its length and runs in an eastern direction: it is very rugged on both banks from near Bannans Farm till it enters the Moray Firth about half a mile west of Navity. It is the joint property of Colonel G. W. H. Ross of Cromarty House Cromarty, and Mr Fletcher of Rosehaugh by Avoch.
