067 | This name applies to what appears to have been an old Danish Fort it is Situated about Two miles to the South West of Cromarty, the walls of the Fort are Two feet high there must have been a Great battle at this place at some time as there can be distinctly seen the track of numerous graves; extending in a Westerly direction, all the Graves are pointing North and South and are from 18 to 20 feet long and about 12 feet wide It is supposed that the battle was fought between the Danes, and Scots. but no information can be obtained of what time it occurred, Colonel Ross proprietor |
