090 This name applies to a Standing Stone about 8 feet high 12 inches wide and 8 inches thick their is a deers head and Star cut on it also several names written on it which cannot be deciphered it was carried from Bay Quarry to where it Stands by a man named Matheson Laird at the time of a part of the surrounding district it was erected in 1755 in memory of the event as it was considered a great feat on account of the Stones weight It stands on the northern bank of Munlochy Bay on a small hill named Chapelhead property of James Fletcher Esqr.
