065 | A small stream rising at the end of Caisteal Breac and flowing to the south east. Near the farm of Ballavoulin it forms the boundary for a quarter of a mile between the parishes of Kiltearn & Alness. In the wood north of Culcairn part of the water is divided into another channel the principal portion going to feed the mill dam of that farm. The natural channel continues still towards the east till it reaches the northeast end of Dail Gheal where it is joined by a small Stream from the northwest. At this point the name ceases and the channel becomes artificial though the water reaches the Big Burn near Tallysow. Meaning, "Stream of the leaf". |
