005 | [situation] Flows from the S.E. [South East] through Borgh village, and falls into the Sea, 35 chains W. [West] by S [South] of Mealabost. A small but rapid river, which flows from the North and West base of Mulachan, crossing the Ness and Stornoway road between the 17 and 18 mile Stones, and falling into the Sea at Eirc, at which place it forms a junction with Allt Ghrunndail. Along its banks are a few Corn-mills some of which are in ruins. There is also on each side of it a strip of arable land.
