005 | [situation] In the north western section of the plan, near the Sea Coast, 40 chains N [North] by E [East] of Mealabost village. The ruins of a Castle, which appears to have been circular. The walls have fallen around the foundation; and it presents the appearance of a confused heap of stones, about 3 feet high. It is situated about half a mile from the Stornoway and Ness road, and is quite distinct to persons travelling on that road. |
