012.02 A large and Substantial Building three Storeys high, Slated and in good repair, Situated in Bridge Street, Consists of the usual Males' and Females' Wards and a large Dispensary etc Was erected by Voluntary Subscriptions from the inhabitants of the Burgh, and County Gentlemen, and is Supported by Voluntary Contributions and Donations, together With the interest Arising from Several Bequests left to the institution by Various Persons, It is under the Management of a Board of Directors Consisting of eighteen Members who are Chosen Annually by the Subscibers, The Medical department of the Infirmary and Dispensary is Conducted by a House Surgeon, under the Superintendence of a Medical Board, Composed of five Surgeons, there is also a Matron With the usual number of Nurses Attached to this institution,The Dispensary is Open daily, on Certain hours, for advise, and dispensing medicine.
