012.02 Takes its rise in the Parish of Eaglesham, and After Passing through the Parish of East Kilbride, flows in a gently Winding Course through the Parishes of Mearns, Carmunnock & Eastwood, to the Town of Paisley, whence After forming a beautiful & Picturesque Waterfall a little Above the Abbey Bridge, at the Seedhill Craigs, and bending round to the northward, it pursues its course towards the Clyde, and empties itself into that River a few hundred yards West of the town of Renfrew; Below the town of Paisley the river exhibits very little beauty, but Above it, much, its banks being frequently elevated, and clothed with rich drapery of Wood, It is navigable to Paisley. (the Tide flowing up to the Abbey Bridge) and Capable of Admitting vessels of from 60 to 80 Tons burden, its bed from Paisley to its Confluence With the Clyde is generally Rocky.__
