012.14 A Neat and Substantial Bridge of two Arches, built over the River Cart, Connecting High Street With Smithhills, and Situated on the Public Highway between Paisley & Glasgow Was erected 1782 at a Cost of £779, the County Paying £350 towards it, and the Town Council Paying the remainder. It is Supported jointly between the Burgh Road Trust, the Newtown Road Trust, and the County Bridge Trust, each Paying ⅓ of the expense for repairs. It is not recognised as a County Bridge.
