011.10 A large close wood, mostly fir, situated a little south of Culliochant farm steading. The name is well Known. This wood is mostly on an eminence called Corbet Hill. I inquired if the name ought not to be Corbethill Wood, to which Mr. Ledgerwood agreed, but Mr. Houston (a native of the ph [parish]) informed me, and I found by enquiry, that the name commonly used is Corbet Wood, and not Corbethill Wood.
