St Catherine's Chapel (In Ruins)
"Within the chuchyard of Kilbarchan, there
was a chapel, which was founded by Thomas Crawford
of Achinames, and dedicated to St Catherine; and
he made a competent endowment, for a chaplain, to serve in this Chapel,
and also to officiate at the Virgin Mary's altar, in the Ph [Parish] church of
Kilbarchan. The Reformation demolished the Virgin Mary's altar, and
shut up St Catherine's Chapel."
