140 This building is said to have been formerly a residence of King Robert Bruce, and more recently of the Blackadder Family, it is now unroofed, but the walls are nearly entire, the date of its erection is not known. A Moat is said to have originally formed its defensive works, but recent improvements has left the surrounding Ground nearly level, leaving the Moat untraceable. The Castle has not been inhabited since 1745. property of the Heirs of Lord Keith.
