086 | A large artificial mound of a circular shape, and covered with wood. Its perpendicular height is about twenty feet, and on its top is a level round space about fifteen feet in diameter. It is not Known for what purpose this cairn was raised, but it is the belief in the neighbourhood that it was a watch tower in early times, from its situation on high ground. |
