130 A small eminence in the East end of Gartmore park, covered with a thick wood chiefly forest trees, in the old records this hill was known as the East hill of Gartmore and gave its name "Easter hill" to the farm. see 130.10 trace 4. see likewise the quotation from the New Stat. Acct. [Statistical Account] for the same tracing, but "Fir Hill" is the only name whereby tis known now.
