This was one of the gates or ports on the City Wall its in South Methven Street at a point which was at one time the west end of the High Street it stood immediatley on the east side of the lead which had been the ditch at one time on the outside of the City Wall. The site is referenced on two plans of Perth dated respectively 1774 and 1792. |
