This monastery is generally said to have Stood on the Site of the Ink manufactory in Charteris Street, and there are some who maintain that it extended across the Street and on the South Side of it. But the Plans of Perth dated 1774 and 1792 mark its Site quite close to the South side of King James the Sixth's Hospital, Mr. Thomson the present hospital master who paid a good deal of attention to the traditions relating to this old establishment States that it occupied a Considerable area of ground and that extended from the Ink manufactory across King St. near to the South side of the Hospital And Mr. Todd the Ink manufacturer
