094 ; 095 ; 105 ; 106 ; 115 ; 116 The parish of Monzievaird and Strowan is in the Presbytery of Auchterarder, and Synod of Perth and Stirling. Patron, the Crown and the Earl of Kinnoul. The parish lies chiefly in the Upper end of Strath Earn, and consists of a main body and four detached parts. The main body is bounded on the north by a detached part No.3 of Monzie parish on the West and north west by Comrie Parish and by lands belonging to no parish; on the south by Muthill parish; and on the east by Crieff parish. The detached portions Nos. 1 & 2 are surrounded by Comrie parish; No. 3 lies between the parishes of Comrie and Muthill; and No.4 is bounded on the north and west by Comrie on the south by Callander, Kilmadock and Dunblane;and on the east by Muthill.
The parishes of Monzievaird were originally distinct, but have been united for about two centuries. These united parishes, of which Monzievaird forms the northern, and Strowan the southern division, are situated in the upper part of Strath Earn. The soil is various.
