The parish of Moneydie is in the Presbytery of Perth Synod of Perth and Stirling. Patron Lord Lynedoch. The parish contains about ____ Statute Acres, and it is bounded on the east and south by the parish of Redgorton; on the south, by the parish of Methven; on the west by Auchtergaven detached, and Monzie detached No. 3; and on the north by the parish of Auchtergaven.
There is a detached part of this parish which is separated from the main body by the detached part of Auchtergaven parish, the latter is called Moneydieroger
The eastern district of this parish is but slightly diversified in surface, beautifully cultivated, well sheltered with woods and fences, and warm and rich in aspect. The soil near the principle streams is a light alluvium. In the interior level grounds is alternately a black loam, and a strong red earth; and on the higher grounds is principally a cold wet till.
