133 An interesting relic of antiquity romantically situated on the western slope of Castle Law. The castellated style of architecture and the immense thickness and solidity of its walls sufficiently indicate its antiquity but nothing positive can be gleaned respecting its origin or original possessors. It is supposed to have belonged to the Earl of Stirling from whom it descended to the Dundas family, who retained it for two generations. It is now the property of Mr. Bruce of Kennet. The building is slated has convenient offices and a garden attached and is in excellent repair.
