062 | An ancient Chapel in the pleasure grounds of Murthly, which is now used as a burying place for the Stewart family, around the walls of the interior are the arms of various branches of their family which have been interred therein. A very elegant Roman Catholic chapel has been erected against the west side of this old building. The date of erection of the Old Chapel is not known, neither is its dedicatory name. "There is no Episcopalian nor Catholic chapel in the parish, if we except a small old and decayed chapel attached to Murthly Castle, and lately fitted up for service by the present proprietor."
