130 A small mound in a plantation about ΒΌ of a mile South of The Parks of Garden and near to a Small Loch, This name has arisen from the place being frequented by the fox.

130 About 40 years ago in clearing the moss, the remains of an ancient road a Supposed to be Roman were found at this place, the remains consisted of Sticks and tree laid crossways upon the clay at the bottom of the moss, also an old hot & some pots were found. It is not known which direction the road went from this Spot, but it is Supposed to have gone in direction of a ferry near to the Spot occupied by the present bridge
