074 The remains of a strong building situated in the east of the parish on the banks of the River Tay. Portions of the outside walls are all that now remains, they are about 5 feet thick and forming a complete square. The river is its only natural defence. The only tradition that can be gleaned in the locality regarding it is, that it was burned by Sir William Wallace and his followers.
