Mr. Ballingall Statistical Account. 131 In an enclosed piece of Land, once an orchard a short distance to the south of Burnbank Cottage, is to be seen a Tombstone bearing the following Inscription "Here lyes the corpes of Margaret Drummond Third daughter to the Laird (of Invermay.) and (spouse to) Sir George Muschet of Burnbanke: Her Age 26: Departed this life in the wisitation, with her three children at Burnbanke, the 10 of August 1647. The caracter are quite distinct and easily read, Burnbank was once a seperate Barony, and the Property of the family of Muschet, the house stood close to the garden wall of Burnbank Cottage, in the vicinity of the orchard, which accounts for the grave,
