In Jamieson's Dictionary
grain is defined as apply-
-ing "to the branches of a
valley at the upper end
where it divides into two
as Lewinshope Grains". It
is also applied "to the branch
of a river"
Should not
the name be applied to
the ground immediately between the two
streams where they unite?
Enquiry to be made and
the name written so as
to apply properly and De-
-scriptive Rks. [Remarks] to be written
accordingly.
