109 [Situation] A few chains west of the Farm of Forteviot A small plot of ground attached to the parish School as a play ground for children. The inhabitants state that formerly the play ground was of much greater extent than at present, but it was encroached on by the adjoining occupiers. In the Old Stat. Acct. [Statistical Account] there is mention much of the "Pleasure Green" (of which the schoolmaster's house stands on the west end of it) as the scene of ancient exercises and amusements." The name Pleasure Green is not known in the village.

The mill of Forteviot and the Coble Haugh mentioned by Andrew
Wyntown yet remain. At Cobblehaugh was the boat for ferrying over
the Earn. The miller's daughter was mother to Malcolm Canmore
