[South West] of the town of Perth. It is bounded by the following parishes - Dunning on the south, Madderty and Methven on the north. Tibbermore & Forteviot on the east, and by Trinity Gask on the west. It consists of arable land with one or two plantations. The Houses are generally in good repair, chiefly one storey, and are nearly all slated. The chief proprietors are the trustees of the late James Blair-oliphant Esq of GasK.

The parish of Findo Gask is in the Presbytery of Auchterarder, and Synod of Perth and Stirling; it contains about 5227 Statute Acres The parish produces wheat, barley, oats, pease, potatoes, turnips, sown and pasture grass. It supports itself with all Kinds of grain, independent of considerable quantities which are sold, and there are more than 1200 acres of wood, consisting of larch, Scotch fir, oak, &c, which abound with all sorts of game. There are no detached portions of this parish, nor, are there any detached portions of another parish situated within it.

In the same place was lately found a small urn of coarse worKmanship, which would contain about three English pints. It was about two and a half feet below the surface." See Statistical acct. That Mr. Oliphant's widow, who is a Presbyterian, has the Divine Service of that communion performed in it, and, for the accommodation of visitors, on some few occasions, the Episcopal Service also. Therefore under these circumstances, and as it is a private chapel belonging to no particular denomination, it will be written on the plans as shewn above.
