[County] of Perth A parish in the South of PerthShire at the northern extremity of the Ochill Ridge or chain where it terminates in Strathearn. It is bounded on the north by Methven from which it is Separated by the Earn. on the east by Forteviot and Forgandenny, on the South by KinrossShire and on the west by Auchterarder. It is intersected by Several Small Streams, tributaries of the Dunning Water which flows northwards into the Earn. This parish formerly a chapelry is in the presbytery of Auchterarder and Synod of Perth and Stirling. Patron the Earl of Kinnoul. There is a Small detached portion of this parish separated from the main body of the parish by an intervening Small part of Auchterarder detached. |
