The Ph. [Parish] Church is a neat little building surrounded by a graveyard. it was erected in 1826 & has seats for 300. The average attendance is about 100 & the communicants number 80. In the east of the Graveyard a stone marks the last resting place of the Rev. [Reverend] John Wellwood a Minister of the Ch. [Church] of Scotland in the time of the Reformation.
