063 | On a wooded eminence named the Chapel Hill and on the north side of the ward an outline of the walls of this chapel can readily be traced. Until a few years ago the ruin was in a good state of preservation. The stones were removed for fencing and other like purposes excepting one marked 1110, which stands upright near to the site. |
| STANDING STONE (Marked 1110) [Chapel Hill] | 063 | The stone mentioned in the foregoing is about 18 inches high, 12 inches broad and 4 inches thick, the figures 1110 are on the top of it. It is very possible that the stone stands in, what was formerly, the Graveyard, and that it is one of the Grave stones, this, however, is mere supposition, as no one appears to know anything about it, its existence, even, being known to a very few. |
