052 A small oblong square space on the south side of the Lornty Burn, it is surrounded by a small bank of earth and the whole much resembles an old Bowling-green. Mr. Soutar, Banker is decided in calling this an old Bowling-green he says that the former Lairds or Proprietors of Gormack had their Mansion where the farm house of the "Mains of Gormack" now stands. Also the castle of Glasclune is about an equal distance in the opposite side of the Burn, hence the isolated situation of the Bowling-green, which had been used by both families.
