108 The site of Tullibardine Castle is on an eminence about 250 yard north of the old Chapel. It was the seat - rather, the stronghold of the Earls of the same name, it has been occupied, for a long time, after that family ame to the titles of Athole. In 1745 it was garrisoned by portion of the Earl of Marr's Army, and was taken by Duke of Argyle.
