118 A deep and narrow gorge situated between Glendevon & Strathallan on the Ochil Hills. It is about three miles in length, and for the most part inaccessible, having great towering craigs on both sides, which were formerly a retreat for eagles (hence the name) but is now only frequented by hawks & daws, Property of the Earl of Camperdown.
