117 A small river which rises near the Farm steading of Tigh na blair, and after a course of some miles falls into Allan Water at Greenloaning Railway Station, its course is rapid until it has passed the village of Braco, from which point is channel is altogether artificial.

117 An old stone bridge of one arch, spanning the River Knaik on the T.P. [Turnpike] Road leading from Crieff to Stirling, it is said to have been erected by Bishop Ochiltree, it is now in disuse, a new bridge having been erected close by it in 1862 and the passage across the old one blocked up.
