053 A large Standing Stone on the lands of Loyal. It has every appearance of being one of the ancient Stone monuments, and is believed to be such by the authorities quoted. In that gravel pit a short distance north of this Stone, George Brown, about 11 years ago when digging for some gravel turned up a Stone Cist containing a human skull and other bones.
