an Estate Map by the Perambulator
calls it River Shee where the Co. By. [County Boundary]
leaves the river. The Peramulator also
uses the name in the B.R. Book.
All the Accounts are conflicting
as to the proper name, the Gazetteer
calling it in describing Alyth the
"Ericht" and the "Shee" when describing
it by itself. Both the Old and
New Statl. [Statistical] Accounts allude to
the name "Blacklunans". So does
the Gazetteer. The New Statl. [Statistical Acct. [Account]
which you saw (shewn by your reply in
Corpl. [Corporal] Black R.E. [Royal Engineer]
