012 | [Situation] About 10 Chains North from Easter Dalwick. This is the site of an old Tower which is supposed to have been erected here in Ancient times a watch or signal tower. On the top of which fires used to be lit in order to apprise Oliver Castle which Stands farther up the Tweed of any invasion or enemy proceeding towards it from that direction. |
