A long and deep Glen or Valley, through which a stream runs. It rises (the stream) in the N.E. [North East] side of Black Dody, and flows in a Southern direction for about 3 miles till it falls into Cramilt Burn a little above Cramilt farm house. The Cleugh is very rugged on both sides for nearly ½ mile in the Centre.
