005 [Situation] At the S.W. [South West] end of the village of Linton

A large green extending along and on each side of the Lyne Water, and situated close to, and on the west side of the village of Linton. It was allotted to the feuers of West Linton, by the superior for divot ground; and cattle going along the Drover Road, are permitted to feed thereon for 24 hours, the Upper Green at the north end of the village is allotted for the same purpose. The Earl of Wemyss is the superior.
